My 25/26 Game Plan

Iā€™ve spent the last few months figuring out what Iā€™m actually trying to buildā€¦ not just what Iā€™m trying to post.
This is the plan Iā€™m committing to over the next 18 months:

Slide 1 ā€” The Hook
Iā€™m putting it out there publicly so I have something to grow into. No fluff. No ā€œmanifesting.ā€ Just ownership.

Slide 2 ā€” The Projects
These are the films that matter to me.
Theyā€™ll take time. Theyā€™ll test me. But theyā€™re the kind of stories I want my name attached to.

Slide 3 ā€” The Business
I donā€™t want to chase random clients forever.
I want to build trust with the right ones ā€” the ones who value storytelling over trends.

Slide 4 ā€” The Skills
Iā€™m not pretending Iā€™m perfect.
These are the areas Iā€™m genuinely focusing on: stronger visuals, tighter pacing, deeper interviews, and finding my real voice.

Slide 5 ā€” The Commitment
Iā€™m not chasing viral.
Iā€™m chasing momentum.
Slow steps, but in the right direction.

The moment I stopped chasing the algorithm, the work finally felt mine again.

I used to scroll first thing every morning to ā€œstudy what works.ā€

Really, I was just comparing.
Trying to reverse-engineer other peopleā€™s luck.
Then I realised the algorithm isnā€™t evil ā€” itā€™s just empty.

It rewards consistency, not honesty.
And Iā€™d rather post less if it means I actually like what Iā€™m putting out. If one of my videos takes off, cool.

If it doesnā€™t, it still represents me ā€” not some version of me chasing approval.

The work finally feels like mine again.

Hereā€™s what actually goes into thisā€¦

Camera Operator ā€“ Iā€™m hands on with every single shot. Movement, framing, pacingā€¦ making sure every moment is captured with intention.

Editor ā€“ where the story actually forms. I choose what matters, remove what doesnā€™t, and build emotion out of timing.

Cinematographer ā€“ itā€™s not enough to point the camera. I shape the light, colour, mood, compositionā€¦ so the final picture feels cinematic.

Drone Operator ā€“ the world looks different from above. The drone lets me scale the story and give projects weight you literally canā€™t get from ground level.

ā€¦and truthfully, thatā€™s just scratching the surface šŸ˜‚
Solo creators do way more than anyone ever sees.

So stop asking for the RAW footage!

Most videographers & photographers spend hours making their work pop. We turn the washed out RAW into something of note. Flesh it out.

Also don't forget RAW is more memory. Different format and sometimes requires specific playback footage.

So just bear that in mind before asking.

RAW is not better.

2. The colour science just hits.
Blackmagic Film profile is built to look cinematic right out of camera. This isnā€™t that ā€œcom tones, roll-off, and highlight detail make your footage feel expensive even if youā€™re shooting in your bedroom with one light.

3. EF Mount = budget freedom.
You can grab great lenses for cheap. Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Samyang ā€” itā€™s all open season. Youā€™re not locked into a rare or overpriced ecosystem. Every lens you buy can live on with your future cameras.
