Soul Scientist, Reading (2025)

Inspired by music's ability to induce trance and mystical experiences. Soul Scientist (Andreia Gomez) is a musician, producer and DJ with over a decade of experience in performing, composing & producing music. She creates ecstatic psychedelic journeys that blend DJing and instrumental performance. Her sets include the works of Shpongle, Astrix, Electric Universe, Sacred Technology and Vini Vici to

name a few, rearranged and remixed live and in the studio. With added sound effects, samples and instrumental layers, each track has Soul Scientist’s unique arrangement and musical signature. She was the songwriter and lead guitarist for prog metal band MIND, who shared stages with psychedelic rock legends Hawkwind in 2019. She started to DJ as a side project, fascinated by the possibility of bringing music production into live performance, this soon became her main focus. Experienced in playing a variety of styles styles whilst heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and progressive metal, she found her calling in playing guitar alongside progressive psy trance. As someone who often experiences altered states of consciousness purely from dancing, she aims to induce similar states in others. Being flooded by ecstatic feelings of love, joy and oneness accompanied by beautiful visions (without the use of drugs!) conveys the true meaning and purpose of psychedelic trance music. The power it has to change our brain chemistry so deeply as to induce trance, psychedelic visions and powerful mystical experiences makes music the science of the soul, which is why she goes by the name Soul Scientist.

We’re beyond excited to reveal the powerhouse headliner for Psy-Sisters Autumn Blast 2025! 🎸

Guitarist, DJ and producer Andreia Gomez aka Soul Scientist fuses live electric guitar with full on psytrance, delivering earth shaking beats, eastern inspired melodies and soaring solos. Her technical skill and distinctive sound, layering riffs, effects, samples and instruments, set her apart as one of the UK’s most promising psytrance artists.

In 2024, her debut release String Synergy with Xenoben from Phantasm Records reached number 8 on Beatport’s psytrance chart and became the label’s top seller. Now focused on original productions, she is road testing new tracks in her live shows while building toward her debut EP. 💿
