*Mo Tradition in Action: Nana Kwaku Dankwaa III Leads Historic Ground-Clearing for the New Mo Paramount Palace*

A historic moment unfolded today in Kintampo as Nana Menka Baanawa I, the Youth Chief for the Mo Traditional Area. Led the clearing of land for the construction of the long-awaited Mo Paramount Chief’s Palace.

The chosen site—located directly in front of the Kintampo DVLA at the old Tobaca area, opposite the Kintampo Municipal Assembly—carries both cultural significance and strategic relevance. This monumental step marks the beginning of a project that will stand as a symbol of unity, authority, and the rich heritage of the Mo people.

As tradition demands, Nana Sumankwaahene of the Mo Traditional Area performed a solemn libation ceremony.

This project stands not just as a physical structure but as a symbol of dignity, heritage, unity, and progress for all Mo people, both at home and abroad.

*Our Veterans Recognition Time *

-Celebrating the veterans of Kintampo-

Kintampoman TV has launched another program titled “Our Veterans Recognition Time,” a documentary-style initiative dedicated to honouring the men and women whose lives, sacrifices, and journeys have shaped the soul of the Kintampo Municipality.

The program seeks to preserve their wisdom, celebrate their legacy, and inspire the younger generation with true stories of resilience and achievement.

Today’s episode shines the spotlight on one of Kintampo’s most cherished culinary icons — Mma Alima Banku, a veteran whose name has become synonymous with delicious, home-made banku enjoyed by generations.

From humble beginnings, Mma Alima turned her small pot into a thriving business, feeding workers, travellers, and families with passion, consistency, and love.

Through the years, her banku joint has become a landmark — a place where community, conversation, and culture blend seamlessly over a bowl of good food.

During our engagement, Mma Alima shares her inspiring story: how she started her business, the challenges she overcame as a young woman in trade, the lessons she picked up along the way, and the deep sense of fulfilment she feels serving her community.

Her words echo strength, perseverance, and a lifelong commitment to excellence.

“Our Veterans Recognition Time” is more than a program — it is a movement to document and celebrate the living legends whose everyday efforts have built Kintampo into the thriving community it is today.

As we listen to Mma Alima’s journey, we are reminded that heroes don’t only wear capes. Sometimes, they stand behind cooking fires, serve meals with a smile, and keep our traditions alive.

*REVIVING KINTAMPO FULLER FALLS: A NEW CHAPTER FOR TOURISM & DEVELOPMENT*

Kintampo Fuller Falls, once left unattended for several years, is finally receiving the attention it deserves under the leadership of the Kintampo Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Donkor. In a bold move to boost tourism and increase Internally Generated Funds (IGF) for the Municipality, the current administration has begun significant development works at the site.

One major improvement underway is the construction of modern, safe steps to make descending to the falls easier and more attractive for tourists. This forms part of a bigger vision to transform Fuller Falls into a well-developed eco-tourism destination that will contribute meaningfully to local growth and job creation.

Meanwhile, the caretaker of the site has made a passionate appeal to investors, stakeholders, and authorities to help trace the original source of the water. It has been revealed that parts of the water have been diverted by farmers for irrigation purposes, affecting the natural flow of the falls. He is calling for the establishment of a task force to monitor and protect the water pathway to ensure that the beauty and strength of Fuller Falls are preserved.

With collective effort, the revival of Kintampo Fuller Falls will not only restore its natural charm but also elevate Kintampo as a leading tourism hub in Bono East.

Kintampo Community Centre Project Back in the Spotlight

The Kintampo Community Centre, which was built many years ago and had become very weak, was pulled down by former MCE Hon. Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw to pave the way for a modern, befitting facility for the Municipality. Although the reconstruction began, the project stalled before completion.

During a recent engagement on Kintampo Radio, the current MCE, Hon. Isaac Donkor, addressed concerns from the public about the abandoned project, assuring residents that the Assembly is committed to finding a lasting solution.

Benkadi Youth Rekindle the Spirit of Communal Labour Ahead of Benkedi 2025

The Benkadi Youth of Wangara have once again demonstrated their deep commitment to tradition and community development. Inspired by the legacy of their grandparents—who were widely known in Kintampo for their dedication to voluntary communal labour—the youth have come together to organise a firewood collection exercise in preparation for Benkedi Festival 2025.

This initiative not only supports the upcoming festival but also reinforces the enduring values of unity, hard work, and service that define the Wangara people. Their efforts stand as a powerful reminder that the spirit of communal development is alive and thriving among the younger generation.
