The Athena Network Reading and Henley has six thriving and energetic groups across the region. The meetings are held on the:

East - 1st Wednesday of the month
Virtual - 2nd Tuesday
North - 2nd Wednesday
Central - 2nd Thur

Henley - 3rd Tuesday
South - 4th Thursday
Cappuccino Connections - 4th Tuesday

We are currently networking online and all of our monthly formal meetings start at 12noon and finish at 2pm. The Cappuccino Connections meeting is our informal/drop in meeting and that starts at 10.30am until 12noon. The professions that we are inviting visitors to attend and experience an Athena Network meeting within the Reading and Henley region are:

I am delighted that Anna Rowe, Powerteam Accountants, is sharing her knowledge at Henley tomorrow.

Anna will take us through 𝗠𝗧𝗗 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗧𝗦𝗔 - 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲?

You may have had a letter from HMRC saying that you need to move to quarterly reporting for your self assessment. This talk will go into the details in a user-friendly way to let you know how and if this applies to you, and what to do moving forward.

What a busy and warm month! June started with wonderful RD training, followed by our members sharing their business development training and expertise across Reading East, Reading Central, Henley, and Reading South.

Network strategy training shared tips on networking, and cappuccino connections online and in person rounded off June.

Safeena Tufail, Family Solicitor & Mediator at Hewetts Solicitors, is sharing her considerable knowledge and expertise at our Reading South meeting tomorrow.

Her Business Development Training is: Sharia Law in Divorce Matters

Her training will explore:
- How Islamic Law impacts divorce in UK?
- Rules of Divisions on divorce under Sharia Law
- Divorce from overseas, can this be enforced in UK courts?
- Mediation in such cases.

You will gain an understanding of how Islamic divorce with foreign elements works in the UK and acquire general knowledge of the different approaches to conventional law in the UK. Relevance of option of mediation to attempt resolving such matters .resolving such matters .

Safeena is an Accredited Family Lawyer with 20 years experience specialising exclusively in family law matters ranging from straightforward to complex issues following breakdown of relationship where finances and children may be involved. She is also a mediator and parent trustee at a secondary school.

I am delighted that Vickie Farrell from Declutteright is taking us through our Business Development Training at Henley group tomorrow.

She will be sharing How to Beat the Clutter- Learnings of a Professional Declutterer and Organiser.

Vickie will be sharing key learnings from her decluttering and organising experience, focusing on how to overcome common decluttering barriers and prevent clutter building up again.

Having a decluttered environment can help to create mental clarity, improve focus and free up time and energy to work on what truly matters.

Following a career in HR, Vickie founded Declutteright in 2022 and became a Professional Declutterer & Organiser. She has worked in over 50 different homes and workspaces and completed over 300 client sessions with people in many different situations.
