Some of the world’s best loved books nearly didn’t make it to our shelves… JK Rowling was advised by an editor to ‘get a day job’ since she had little chance of making money in children’s books. Dan Brown was rejected by publishers because his book was ‘so badly written’

and the authors of the 125+ million bestselling ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ received over 140 rejections because ‘Anthologies don’t sell’. We want to give authors a new, fairer way to get a publishing deal without relying on literary agents, traditional publishers or self-publishing houses. Thank you so much to everyone who has support Kate so far. Her campaign is doing fantastic, but there is still a little way to go.
Please remember, no money is taken unless the campaign is succssful, so nothing would leave your account at the time of support. I absolutely appreciate times are so hard, especially now with rising energy costs, but something special such as Kate's project is not for the benefit of the many, but the few who have less than us in the way of family, friends and loved ones.
KinShip Carers is an amazing charity, a charity Kate's book is all about and 100% for.

There are a few supporters who have stated that they are having trouble ordering a copy due to Kickstarter declining their card details. This is something we have emailed them about, as it is both frustrating and out of our control.

Gee am I grateful that I found David and Kelly McCaffrey from Britains’s Next Bestseller/Live It Ventures LTD to format my new book from “Broken To Beautiful - How To Be Calm, Happy and Slim.” Prior to finding David and Kelly, I had tried two book formatting companies, the first one did not respond to any changes that I requested and stopped communicating with me. The second one did not use my already created cover, made heaps of mistakes in the formatting and wanted to charge me a huge amount to fix each mistake. I am happy to say David and Kelly, went above and beyond what I expected. It was obvious from the start that they were prepared to do what it takes to keep my happy, which they did in a time sensitive manner. I mean I got a response from them immediately and any hurdles I encountered, were over come with diplomacy, care, enthusiasm and commitment to me having the very best looking book. I just wanted to take a moment to welcome all my new followers and check in with a massive THANK YOU for those of you who have been following me for a while too!

My name is Abi and I'm an author, blogger and creative mindfulness teacher. I also advocate for body acceptance and self love across ALL genders, cultures, religions and backgrounds.

I'm a Geordie girl living by the sea in South Devon with my Turkish husband and two terrifying kids. I love to write and paint and get my kicks through mindful parenting styles, creative living and chocolate.

My debut novel, Life Is Yours was published last year and pretty much made a lot of my dreams come true. The book is doing great and has the most wonderful 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon. Life Is Yours tells the story of how one woman unwittingly turns the grief and torment of heartbreak into the most magical time of her life.

It is the first in a trilogy and the second part, Destiny Is Yours will be released later this summer by Britain's Next Bestseller.

Hi, when are the new batch of video readings being released?
For once, chuffed with myself today. With the assistance of Thames Valley Police and Fred Dinenage,and the patience and indulgence of my Jayne Rees Roberts Brown, finally finished writing and editing my second book. Thanks to you all, and huge thanks to BNBS.

Ok, so when I was perusing the shelves of Waterstones Torquay yesterday, I may have suddenly remembered that I had my debut novel, LIFE IS YOURS in my hand bag.

I may then have also remembered my life-long and absolute ambition to have my little book adorn the shelves of my favourite book store.

I may then have got said book out and just, you know, tried it out for size on the ‘Y’ shelf of the fiction section.

Then I may have taken a photo and sneaked in a stealthy meditation / affirmation on my book actually being there for legitimate, book-selling type reasons.

Then I swiftly removed the book and had an Amaretto Latte just to help the moment sink in. All good fun.
