In today’s classic Golden Year between 9-10am, we're going back to the year Mikhail Gorbachev became President of the USSR while George Bush became USA President, Salman Rushdie’s ‘The Satanic Verses’ was published, Boro were promoted to Division One, the Olympic Games were held in Seoul and on telly, Scott and Charlene were married on ‘Neighbours’.
Talking of which, Kylie Minogue had the best-selling album and a Cliff Christmas classic was best-selling single.
