Greetings Krautpop-pickers!
The debut 12" LP from Oral Habit drops on Friday 12th June and so we reccomend placing your order by 2pm if you want the glorious "Cracked Yolk" edition of "A Broken Chord" to land on your mat this weekend*.
With a feature in The Guardian to their name, sell-out headlines in London and Brighton, it has been a tireless few months for Oral Habit who have garnered multiple plays on BBC Radio 6 Music (New Music Fix, Amy Lamé) and Radio X (John Kennedy).
A self-described “Rainbow of Oral Habit”, the trio show us almost everything they’re capable of on ‘A Broken Chord’. Founded by Charlie Hales (guitar), his brother Felix (drums), and Tippi Lewis (bass), the band’s psych-garage stands as an aural battle with the delicious unreliability of the vintage technologies at their disposal. Listening to ‘ A Broken Chord’ you can almost sense the searing heat of amp valves, guitars wailing to within an inch of their strung-out lives. As Charlie himself says, “If a button’s there, it’s there to be pushed.”
So what are you waiting for - bag yourself "A Broken Chord" before it's too late!
*UK orders only - dispatched by Royal Mail - weekend delivery is not guraranteed but hoped for with goodness in our hearts and trust in a broken system. International orders will take a bit longer to arrive but will be well worth the wait!
