10 years ago, I had the idea of music charts made up from current sales by retro artistes only, those who had been around for 25 years or more. I named them 'Retro Charts', compiled a Top 10 singles chart and posted it on Twitter on 9th November 2015.
A week later, I compiled both a singles and albums Top 10 and continued to do so for about 6 years, with weekly shows on the radio.
Since then, I've been concentrating on the groundbreaking Retro Charts Radio, an ad free oldies station with an 8 week no repeat policy! You can tune in here https://retrochartsradio.co.uk/
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, I thought it would be interesting to compile the 'Retro Charts' once again!

Retro Charts Radio plays a historic archive of UK Top 40 hits from the start of the music charts back in November 1952, right up to the last chart of 1999.

Calling all Retro Charts Radio listeners. We can't thank you enough for tuning in since 2023. It's been such a success, that we will not be able to afford the licence fees we are heading towards. The present format is going to have to change, starting with going back to our original hours of 8am-11pm from this evening.
We apologise to those who listen outside of these hours.
