Around 30 cm of artisan, crispy bread topped with our homemade mushroom and onion filling, slowly cooked in butter, then finished with two types of cheese that melt beautifully as it bakes.

Simple ingredients, seriously good flavour.

Rochdale Heritage Day at Grushka House ❤️

Grushka House is a newly opened coffee shop in the heart of Rochdale. We may only just be starting our story here, but from day one, we’ve wanted to be more than simply a place to grab a coffee.

We want to become part of Rochdale and its community.

So this Saturday, for Rochdale Heritage Day, we’ll be opening our doors from 9 AM until 7 PM and celebrating this special day together with you.

Of course, there’ll be great coffee and our homemade cakes, but we’re also preparing something a little special.

We’d love to share a taste of where we come from and treat our local community to some traditional Polish street food. 🇵🇱❤️🇬🇧

One of the stars of the day will be ZAPIEKANKA an absolute classic of Polish street food that some of you may already know from trips to Kraków. A long, crispy baguette topped with mushrooms, melted cheese and other delicious toppings simple, comforting food that has become something of a Polish icon.

We’ll also be preparing traditional Polish KROKIETY in four different flavours, along with a few other Polish treats for you to discover.

And yes we want you to taste them! Come in, try something new, have a great cup of coffee, meet us and spend a little time together.

Because to us, Heritage Day isn’t only about the history of buildings and places. It’s also about people, their stories, cultures and traditions all the things that make Rochdale the community it is today.

We’re only just becoming a small part of that story, and we’re very happy to be here.
