In this video, I dive deep into The Scroll Of Enoch's haunting and heavy track, "The End Of Hope." As an extreme funeral doom band from Western New York, Scroll Of Enoch brings a truly unique and crushing sound to the genre. This track took nearly a year to complete and features multiple vocalists: Chris Dalcin (drums and main vocals), Bob Beiber, Alaysa Dale (from 9 Layers Deep), and Terry McMahon. π
The band lineup is anchored by veteran musicians Doug White (guitar and bass) and Chris Dalcin, both with impressive resumes. Doug has produced thousands of bands at Watchmen Studios (from Brutal Truth to Gym Class Heroes and Every Time I Die). Chris is also the frontman of the long-running metal band Elusive Travel. This track reflects their vast experience and dedication to crafting long, extreme pieces of doom metal. πΈπ₯
The lyrics of "The End Of Hope" revolve around the impending collapse of society and life as we know it, inspired by the ancient text The Scroll of Enoch. With Dylan DeSmitβs eerie photography from the "Abandoned WNY and Beyond" Instagram page, the visual and auditory experience perfectly captures the dark, apocalyptic tone of the song. πΈπ
**Fun fact:** This was my longest single-track reaction yet, recorded at 1 AMβa late-night doom party for one! π§β‘
