Tisbury's Aquatic Centre is a long standing family business set up in 1950. We offer an range of services around the aquatic hobby which includes ponds, tropical aquariums and marine aquariums. We stock a large variety equipment, food, treatments, aquariums, decorations, filters and more. If you cannot find what you are looking for ask one of our members of staff who can direct you to it, offer an

alternative or (if we do not have it as regular stock) order it in, however, please note that it can take some time to order in products and we'd appreciate your patience. We also offer a water testing service for your aquarium or pond.

Pond in disarray! This customer reached out to us from Tiktok and wanted us to come sort out their pond because they’ve been struggling a little bit. The filters got blocked up and began to overflow. Due to everything being switched off, they lost a lot of fish! 🐟 So we came by and got the Nexus’s up and running again! We’ll be back in a couple of weeks to give them another deep clean and get this pond back to being clear!!

These fish are not suitable for a community Aquarium, as they do nip. But, with their characters, why would you want anything else? They are a predatory fish, so meat based diet is essential! Also, they need snails in their diet to keep their beak from over growing!

Why does a pond get foam on top? Foam in a pond often comes from excess protein creating a layer on the surface that becomes elastic so bubbles don’t pop, using foam control, we have an easy fix.
How to get rid of green water!
How to change a UV bulb, the water is pretty green so it’s time to switch out the bulb, easy enough, just needs steady hands so not to break anything, clean it up and get the new bulb in! Should clear up in a week or so!

Fish Focus - Tiger Barbs
Shown in the picture is the Green Variation, we also have Golden and Standard. These fish have a reputation off being a Fin Nipper, so community fish with No long fins.
They are a shoaling fish, best kept with larger fish, they grow to approximately 3.15 inches. A traditional Tropical Fish, still very popular 😊
