What is a perfect pet owner?
Is there such a thing......

Dogs dont want perfection, they want you.... they dont need to be walked everyday.... they dont need a huge piece of property.
If your “adventuring” is minimal or if your days are monotonous no problem. If you are not home all the time, no problem.

Dogs don’t need luxurious items and they can eat cheap dog food, bought from a supermarket

Trust me your dog is happy with their life, and you. You may be feeling guilty, but your dog just wants you.... they need VERY VERY LITTLE to be truly happy. I know many rough sleepers with dogs, people in apartments, owners that work and their dogs are so happy.

Please remember this if you are thinking about giving up on your dog. Please remember these things when you say that “you don’t have the time or attention your pet deserves”. Because most likely, you do. If your pet is valued and a part of your family, it’s enough. So for those of you that love your pets and do what you can for them, give yourselves a pat on the back 👏

🐕 ROTHERHAM SHOW BOUND: THE S60 COMPANION DOG SHOW!

This weekend marks one of the biggest highlights on the local calendar—the iconic Rotherham Show at Clifton Park! Running alongside it is the fantastic S60 Companion Dog Shows, organised by the incredible Hazel Barnes, who has championed our cause for four consecutive years.

While our frontline duties mean we cannot attend the show on Saturday—as our team will be fully deployed running our essential Pet Food Bank distribution across Rotherham and DN12—we are planning to be on-site around the Rotherham Show grounds on Sunday!

On Sunday, however, we are looking forward to being around the Rotherham Show grounds, soaking up the atmosphere, and standing alongside the community that keeps our infrastructure going. Seeing local dog lovers turn out in force reminds us exactly why we do this work day in, day out.
