Most organisations say they want their teams creating video.

What they often want is polished communications, without the time, cost or friction that usually comes with them.

That tension is why video so often stalls.

When we worked with the team at Cripps on a smartphone video workshop, one comment captured the issue clearly.

“You play two roles. You create content with an excellent finish. But you also empower us to make content that is good enough to work as a communication tool.”

Our approach to Learning and Development is built around resolving that balance.

We care about storytelling and craft, but we also help teams develop the confidence and judgement to know when speed, clarity and usefulness matter more than polish.

When that happens, video stops being a special project and starts supporting everyday communication.

If teams are hesitant, overthinking, or defaulting back to email and documents, the challenge is rarely motivation. It is usually about permission and shared understanding.

That is what our work focuses on changing.

We are proud to be sponsoring the Taste of Kent Awards 2026, supporting one of Kent’s most established celebrations of food, drink and hospitality.

Now in its twentieth year, the awards continue to recognise the producers, growers, makers and hospitality businesses who shape Kent’s food culture and the communities around them.

At Digitom, our approach is rooted in place. We believe the environments we live, work and play in matter, and that organisations creating real, positive impact locally deserve thoughtful support.

We have shared a short insight on why food culture, craft and communication are more closely connected than we often realise, and why recognising care and consistency matters, particularly in challenging times.

This evening the Television Society - Southern Awards take place, with our Digger Finn project shortlisted in the Digital Content category.

It has been encouraging to see the work recognised alongside a strong range of communications from across the region.

Our approach with Digger Finn was rooted in using digital platforms with purpose, meeting audiences where they are and sharing a real Learning and Development story that opens up conversations about future careers in construction.

The awards ceremony will be live streamed this evening, offering an opportunity to follow and celebrate the breadth of work being recognised a

We’re really pleased to share that our Digger Finn series has been nominated for a Royal Television Society - Southern Award in the Digital Content category.

The series follows the remarkable story of how teenager Finn learned to operate a JCB 3CX Backhoe Loader, becoming the UK’s youngest qualified digger driver.

Launched consecutively on YouTube, Finn’s achievement generated significant engagement and national media coverage, before being re-versioned as a half hour documentary for KMTV.

At its heart, the project was about showing young people what is possible and opening up conversations about future careers in construction through purposeful digital communications.

Being recognised by the Royal Television Society matters because these awards are judged by industry peers and focus on the quality, impact and intent behind the work.

A nomination in the Digital Content category reflects our approach to meeting audiences where they are, telling real stories with care, and using digital platforms to inspire the next generation.

B Corps™ have been building a movement for 20 years, yet we always look forward.

The new standards for B Corp certification mean we have to be more specific about our tangible actions toward social and environmental benefit — and we have to demonstrate continuous improvement going forward.

Some of these commitments are part of our everyday work. Some represent big changes. These are standards worth standing for.

At Digitom we have embedded our ESG policy into daily decisions, including sharing insights on responsible business through published features in local media. We actively seek clients who reflect B Corp values, and built meaningful connections at events like the Louder than Words Festival.

Environmentally, we redesigned our website resulting in a reduction from 25GB to 0.75GB storage, improving the carbon rating from F to C - a measurable step towards lowering our impact.
