Was waiting in Calverley Grounds to go to the amazing dentist Dr Simon Azimi at Ismile Dental Practice, and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. What an oasis in the town! As I was taking these, I said to the work guy in orange nearby who noticed me snapping: “Sorry, this is the biggest story in town!”

He laughed and said: “I know!” 😂 *I bet they get stopped all the time to answer inquisitive Tunny Wells folk!🕵️‍♂️*

These photos of the ABC cinema (The Paramount) are interesting as they show the units/shops/cafes taking shape.

There was a term I had to google while writing about this scheme months ago, can’t remember it now.

What’s the architectural term for building a level area (in this case the shops and space in front) against a sloping building? (Not terrace.)

Having seen plans for a home behind the old-old Courier offices in Monson Road (very tight space, I should know, I had to park) - how long before ‘The Old Loos’ with great central location, close to best schools, trains to London, shops & plenty of parking? 😁

If you want to get away from it all, wander beneath dramatic skies, and with long range industrial views, this is your place. It's moody, desolate and atmospheric in the way Dungeness - it's very different, and cool. Good tip for the walk there in article.
