We had a really fun afternoon making salt dough Christmas decorations. It was lovely to have some family members join us too. 🥰
There was plenty of chatting, laughter, and a light dusting of flour across the tables — just the right atmosphere for a cosy festive craft session. Now the decorations are drying and ready for painting! ✨

Harry, our lovely PAT dog, popped in today with his human companion, Angela, bringing the calm only a therapy dog can. He happily offered a paw and comfort.It’s amazing how a gentle dog can aid us— easing worries, sparking conversations, and giving everyone a reason to smile. Harry certainly did all of that today. 🐾 Thankyou to both of them for kindly giving their time. 💕🐾

This afternoon’s flower-arranging session felt especially peaceful. The room was full of vibrant colours, fresh scents, and that sound of chatter that always seems to put everyone at ease. There’s something about working with real flowers — the textures, the smell, the simple act of choosing and placing each stem — that really brings the senses to life.
The results were beautiful. Every arrangement had its own style and personality, and the table looked wonderful by the time we were done.
A big thank you to the family members who kindly volunteered their time to help — it made the afternoon feel even more special. 💐💛

Today, we paused together for Remembrance Day — to Honour those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who never made it home.
Here at Rusthall Lodge, we’re often reminded what this day truly means. Over the years, staff have had the privilege of listening to residents share real memories of wartime — not from history books, but from their own lives.
It’s a humbling reminder of the courage, loss, resilience, and ordinary people who lived through extraordinary times.

Today, Stephen Dunnett filled Rusthall Lodge with comfort and warmth through his wonderful performance. 🎶
Even with the rain outside, his songs brought smiles all around — and Stephen kindly went the extra mile, singing a few extra songs for Residents who’ve been unwell in their rooms. 💞
It was a truly thoughtful touch that brightened everyone’s day. Thankyou.😊

It’s funny how those songs bring back such clear memories for people… dancing in kitchens, singing in the car, first holidays abroad, school discos, and nights out that still make us laugh years later.🤩
