No more working like a neurotypical š«Ŗ
For years I pushed through busy work days, events, shoots - completely wiped out afterwards & not understanding why⦠masking. burning out. everything else in between & repeat!!
Then I got diagnosed with ADHD & autism⦠suddenly it all made sense why I couldnāt do the ānormalā workload a lot of my peers can manage with ease!
So here are the 9 things I now do to make a busy work day work for my brain. Because preparing properly isnāt extra -itās just knowing yourself deeply & allowing yourself grace⦠goodbye shame spirals for not being like everyone else. Building a life around yourself is everything!!! š
The 9 things:
1. comfy outfit I know & love - no overstimulating new outfits here!!
2. bag with everything you need (plus a mini one inside so I can prop the big bag down!!!)
3. fidget toys, loveee my tangle!
4. water, fizzy drinks, electrolytes - lots of hydration as Iāll probs forget to eat & drink
5. fizzy sweets / jellies - great for energy dips / regulation
6. shot list - notes on phone clip for ease & to tick off like a game hehe
7. exit plan so I donāt need to over explain that thatās me doneee
8. easy, but nutritious dinner when I get home
9. time with my safe person before the event, no explanation needed
