🍰🇬🇧A great British homemade, afternoon tea themed wedding celebration for Gemma and Craig this week!

🍰🇬🇧On a beautiful village green, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, with stunning views, overlooking a castle, in the sunshine - just as this lovely couple had hoped!

🍰🇬🇧A huge team effort from their wonderful friends and family who helped make everything possible and who created and displayed the most delicious spread for all to enjoy

🍰🇬🇧Their tailor-made involved both of their gorgeous mums, sharing very moving words that they had each written about their children, the couple’s secret promises, guest vows and a jumping of the broom as the newly weds made their way up the aisle - symbolising their commitment to overcoming obstacles as a united team through all the years to come and leaping with joy into their new life together as husband and wife!

📝Been pretty much glued to this spot, at my desk, in recent weeks (when I’ve not been out and about meeting my wedding couples, naming families and funeral clients - and conducting services and ceremonies)

📝 The last couple of months have been heavily office-based, with long hours and a LOT of emails, calls and writing time needed (such is the work of a celebrant in spring, just before the season of love💗 and summer weddings kick in!)

📝With the majority of my 2025 wedding ceremonies now written and finalised, I’m really REALLY looking forward to escaping the office a bit more, being out in the sunshine, on the road, visiting some beautiful venues and getting my gorgeous soon-to-be-weds happily - with their one-of-kind, crafted just-for-them

🌼Their ceremony was just that, completely THEIRS - totally and utterly THEM from start to finish

🌼 From the exquisite, atmospheric, emotional entrance - with ‘Starlit’ by Thomas Newman playing - through the wonderfully moving family unity candle lighting, the fun guest ring warming (set to ‘L-O-V-E’ by Nat King Cole), the gorgeous readings shared by loved ones, to their top secret, beautifully meaningful, very funny and oh so personal vows . . .

🌼 Tying all those elements together and weaving through their unique love story, was a joy, a delight and pure privilege

🌼 No two ceremonies are EVER the same with - no set formula, no one-size-fits-all, no filling in the missing names, no limited options
