A beautiful old stone foot bridge on a river on the edge of Dartmoor .
It was several huge flat stone slabs laid across stone pillars very simple but effective.

Walking trip with my daughters in Istria, Croatia. It had a slight Italian feel and no English, never a bad thing .
It felt clean and safe
The area was pretty and although the walks were not as challenging as normal it was lovely to swim in the sea at the end of the day.
The Adriatic is so lovely and quite warm .
We loved it .

All I could think was - HOW ON EARTH DID THEY MANAGE TO BUILD It ?
It's incredible how they could get the huge pieces of stone up so high . A perfect circle with perfect arches designed without any technology.

I'm with my two daughters on a 4 day walking trip.
Flew into the small airport near P**a on Jet2 from Stansted.

On a recent walk - poignant signs at Saltby airfield. A reminder of a sad and tragic part of our history.
