On Saturday 16th August from 10am-4pm, Hannah will be running a writing class here at Fairycroft House.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to write, whether you’re starting our, coming back, or looking to break through.

About Hannah: Hannah Jane Walker is a Poet and playwright who works across literature, broadcasting, and theatre. She has toured extensively internationally and led workshops for organisations including the BBC, the Tate, and the National Poetry Library.

Her approach is gentle, bold and deeply human.

“Hannah creates a space where words come out of you you didn’t know you had”
“Deeply nurturing and totally freeing”

This is suitable for adults of all writing levels and you can secure your space by emailing in at [email protected]

Your generosity makes such a difference to the Young Carers of Saffron Walden, who are very excited for their well deserved trip to America. The Young Carers work tirelessly to care for others, so we want to do our part to give back to them. 🧽Young Carers’ Fundraising Car Wash🧽

🫧For the next 2 Saturdays (9th & 16th August), we will be doing a Car Wash in aid of the Young Carers of Saffron Walden, who are based here at Fairycroft House.

Bring your car, your friends, and your generosity and drive away with a clean vehicle and the warm feeling of having made a real difference.

These young people give so much of themselves to care for others. Now it’s our turn to give them a life-changing experience they truly deserve.

🎸King Lizzy are coming to Fairycroft🎸

KING LIZZY Present a live, dynamic, exciting, energetic & authentic rock show performance to recreate the glory years of the iconic rock band Thin Lizzy, Featuring all the classic songs written by the prolific songwriter/musician and unique rocker Phil Lynott. The show will take you on the full journey of the band's history including all the celebrated Hit's and classic album tracks.

Audiences can sing, clap and play air guitar along with the band as they perform "Whiskey in the Jar” “The Boys Are Back in Town” “Jailbreak” “Don't Believe a Word” “Rosalie” “Still in Love With You” “Cowboy Sang” “Emerald”
"Dancing In The Moonlight” “Waiting for an Alibi” “Parisienne Walkways” and many more timeless songs from one of the finest rock bands of the 70's and 80's.
