Nissan has significantly cut prices for its Ariya flagship all-electric crossover thanks to a new pricing structure and approval for the Electric Car Grant (ECG).

The Japanese brand’s rival to the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4 rival first launched in 2022 and is now priced from £33,500 thanks to the arrival of the new Shiro model, which qualifies for the ECG.

Kempower has become the first EV charging manufacturer to approve a unique new anti-theft solution for charging cables that will benefit charging operators and EV drivers alike.

The CableGuard solution has been developed by charging consultancy Formula Space to tackle a rise in EV charging cable theft, which doubled in number last year compared to 2023.

Businesses in the UK are not equipped to calculate, capture and report their fleet emissions, a new study from business mobility provider Alphabet GB has found.

More than a third (38%) of fleet managers said they still use simple spreadsheets, such as Microsoft Excel, or even paper, to record the emissions of their fleet. A further 8% admitted that they don’t calculate emissions at all.

The NHS in England has said it’s set to save up to £130m following the Government’s pledge to invest £8m in charging.

Announced in July as part of a £63m investment package to boost charging infrastructure across the UK, the £8m cash will power the electrification of ambulances and medical fleets across over 200 NHS sites thanks to 1,200+ new charging sockets.
