A Scottish-produced, UK-first off-road electric vehicle has settled into working life at its new home in the Welsh hills.

Developed by Munro Vehicles, the Series-M M280 electric pickup has been up and down the tracks around Moel Famau to familiarise with the Clwydian Range and allow countryside rangers the chance to get to know the vehicle through training.

Openreach, which operates the UK’s second-largest commercial fleet and already runs over 5,000 electric vans, has teamed up with Myenergi to help supercharge its EV rollout.

Under the agreement, Myenergi will supply thousands of smart Zappi EV chargers to Openreach’s engineers, providing them with a simple way to charge vehicles at home overnight.

Tool theft from UK van drivers is on the rise again, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ latest survey reveals.

More than one in 4 (28%) drivers fell victim to the crime in 2024 – up from 19% the year before.

At the same time, the value of the stolen tools soared by over 40%, averaging £2,433 last year, according to the study of 1,000 UK van drivers.
