Rightech’s newly launched 7.5-tonne zero-emission truck has been approved for the Government’s Plug-in Truck grant, meaning huge savings for fleet operators.

Customers of Rightech, the electric truck and midi-bus division of zero-emission leader Wrightbus, can now save up to £16,000 off the purchase price of the RT75 7.5-tonner, after the company was approved for the grant.

Ford is marking this week’s 60th anniversary of the Transit van with celebrations over the summer.

The first Transit van rolled off the production line at Ford’s facility in Langley, UK on 9 August 1965 and has remained in continuous production since.

Over these six decades, the Transit and the vans it inspired have remained at the heart of economic growth across Europe.

More than half of UK fleets (52%) operate second-hand cars and vans, and a further 27% believe they will do so in the next three years, Arval has revealed.

Its 2025 Mobility Observatory Barometer also shows used vehicles are most often used for pool fleet purposes and their acquisition is more common among smaller operators.
