Fiat is rolling out battery swapping technology that will cut EV recharge times to less than five minutes.

The Italian carmaker has teamed up with EV battery firm Ample and Stellantis-owned mobility firm Free2move for trials of the technology in Madrid on Free2move’s car-sharing scheme.

Iveco has uncovered its eJolly and eSuperJolly electric vans ahead of sales starting in 2026.

Developed under Iveco’s partnership with Stellantis Pro One, the new arrivals complete the Italian firm’s offering of battery electric light commercial vehicles, which now runs from 2.8 tonnes all the way up to 7.2 tonnes.

Global fleet management software platform Wialon has reached a record number of four million vehicles connected via its technology across 160 countries.

The new record comes just eight months after Wialon hit the 3.8-million landmark and makes it one of the largest fleet management, GPS tracking and IoT software platforms worldwide, by number of connected vehicles.

UK leasing firm Pendragon Vehicle Management (PVM) has appointed a new group vice president, following its acquisition by Lithia UK earlier this year.

Phil Wilbraham is now GVP for PVM and National Fleet Solutions, and will lead a team of more than 50 employees.

A Ford Mustang Mach-E piloted by Webfleet-sponsored drivers has set a new electric car world record after racking up an incredible 569 miles (915km) on a single charge.

The new benchmark for EV performance was set on public roads in the UK and beats the previous record of 563.97 miles (906km), set in Hangzhou, China.
