So imagine the excitement when the Reserves Team at Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust Rye Meads found not 1, but 130 Tubular Water Dropworts right there.

But the chances are that you’re not that excited. A small plant? Not much to look at? Why would I care?

In this week’s Environment Matters, Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust Reserves Officer Kathryn Dunnett explains what this plant looks like, why it’s struggling and why we should care more about the less cute and cuddly examples of nature conservation.
