If someone told me five years ago you could get footage like this from a mobile phone, I’d have said they were dreaming… but I genuinely think we’re pretty much there now.

There’s still plenty of room for improvement, especially in low light and when it comes to colour data, but the convenience factor is pretty ridiculous.

Testing the case + VND on the iPhone 17 Pro Max around Newquay this morning.

Shot in Apple Log 2, ProRes LT, using the Final Cut Camera app then graded in post. 📷

A little different for this one… 🎞️

Last night’s Jeanne et Jules Jazz event at Porthluney, filmed and edited for Caerhays Beach Café.

I leaned right into the old-school feel with custom colour correction, heavy film grain and vintage film emulation, then treated the live audio with analogue tape saturation to give the whole thing a more authentic 1940s character.

Really enjoyed getting creative with this one and letting the music dictate the edit.

A little something different from me today… 🌿✨

I was asked to help give an upcoming event at an extra push on social media, so rather than simply reposting the existing artwork, I decided to bring it to life.

I separated the original design into individual elements, rebuilt the scene and created this short animated social promo – all designed to stop the scroll and get the important information across quickly.

I love projects like this. Not every piece of social content needs a camera crew or a big production… sometimes it’s about taking what a client already has and finding a creative way to make it work harder.

Back at this summer capturing another brilliant evening. ☀️🎶

This whole event promo was filmed handheld on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, before being colour graded in Adobe Premiere Pro.

It’s honestly crazy how far phone cameras have come over the last few years.

2 weeks with the iPhone 17 Pro Max in my pocket and I think this is the first time where I’ve had a phone where the camera has truly blown me away… i’ve not really even explored the ProRes and the 4K capabilities of this phone with The app yet but I think for the first time ever I can see this phone getting a member of my camera gear on a frequent basis…
