Raising aspirations, employability and confidence and have since trained and supported over 1000 young people. The Reporters’ Academy is A Media Production Company integrated into the world of Media, Education and Employment. Based in the heart of two great sporting cities, Manchester and Australia, young people are producing across UK, Australia and Oceania. The Academy is a place where young peo

ple come to learn new skills, file their reports, express themselves, recharge their batteries and learn what it means to be part of a team. The young crew members put their training into action to work alongside partners to produce dynamic, fresh and youthful media, an exciting tool for our partners to use and reflect the integrity of the core aims of The Reporters’ Academy.

Our team of young reporters from our HQ in Salford, MediaCityUK getting access into the behind the scenes press areas at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The 'mixed zone' is where you'll find us, it's called the mixed zone as its a designated space where journalists and competitors can mix. It's high energy, a little nerve-racking, sometimes quiet, often loud, full of buzz and a powerful place to be. We are proud of our young reporters and how they hold themselves in this very unique space. Thank you to all the athletes for speaking with us.

We're gearing up to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow at the end of July. We're looking to the generosity of our friends and family to help get a team of 8 young people there, they will gain so much from the experience of being fully accredited journalists and from helping tell the stories of others. If you know anyone with a little spare change to help our gang, please spread the word.

We're going to the Commonwealth Games and we need your help to get our young journalists there.
