There are lots of different ways to get involved with Xpression. Once you’re a member you can get trained as a presenter and host your own show or you can help with production by making jingles and adverts. If you’re mad about music, you can join the music team and you’ll have the opportunity to interview bands and review new music before anyone else has heard it. (Xpression had Adele’s Rolling In The Deep on their playlist before Radio 1!)

What a week! Here’s what we got up to on our trip to the 2026 Student Radio Conference in Salford!

We had the pleasure of visiting URE alumnus from BBC breakfast at work, and he gave us a wonderful tour of the studios and facilities!

Our very own former station manager, Tom Langley had his demo selected at random at demo factor and received some positive feedback and 0 buzzers from the judges!!

We also won Silver in the Student Radio Resilience Award for handling our tech issues days before our 50th anniversary! 🥈

There were plenty of insightful talks, networking and partying to be had too!
