Vif Records was founded by Andrew Post in 1990, who after studying music as an organ scholar at Worcester College, Oxford went on to become Assistant Director of music at Lincoln Cathedral. Having spent time as a cathedral organist he wished to combine his experience as organist, choir trainer and singer (of last resort!) and love of sound recording and editing, and so established Vif Records. Aft
er 24 years he is proud to have worked with some of the finest musicians in the world. He has produced and recorded CDs with many of the UK's highest profile musicians including EXAUDI, Jeremy Filsell, Chris Redgate and Rohan de Saram, as well as many cathedral choirs. He has also worked extensively with contemporary music composer, Douglas Young and with Rohan de Saram, and Chris Redgate. His recordings are regularly played on Radio 3 and Classic FM. Andrew also has considerable experience in school settings, both as an A-Level/GCSE recording advisor, and also as a producer for numerous school CDs including Wi******er College (Quiristers), and Lancing College. Andrew lives in Salisbury, where as well as running Vif Records, he teaches at Salisbury Cathedral School, and regularly deputises for the cathedral's lay vicars.
