📣CAN YOU SPARE AN HOUR TO HELP US GET MEN MATTERS OUT THERE?👣

We need a small army of willing volunteers to help us spread the word about Men Matters 2026 across Salisbury!

On Monday 14 September, we’re inviting volunteers to meet us at:

📍 The Salisbury Pantry, 59 Catherine Street, Salisbury
⏰ Any time between 1pm and 3pm

The mission is simple: grab a bundle of posters, some Blu Tack or drawing pins, and head out around Salisbury to ask shops, cafés, bars, surgeries, community venues and other local businesses if they will put one up.

You don't need any special skills - just be happy to walk around Salisbury, pop into places and say:

“Hello! Would you be willing to put up a poster for a local men's wellbeing event?”😊

You can do as much or as little as you like. An hour would be fantastic, but if you can give us longer, even better!

Free tea or coffee for everyone who comes along to help!

Men Matters is all about helping men discover the activities, support, friendship and opportunities available to them locally and getting the posters up around the city is a really important part of making sure men hear about it.

So, if you can spare an hour on Monday afternoon, come along to 59 Catherine Street between 1pm and 3pm.

Bring your walking shoes, your best “can we put a poster up?” smile and we'll provide the rest! 💪

We will be back on Radio Odstock on the 23rd September with a two hour special show, celebrating two years of bringing the Sounds of Salisbury to the airwaves.

We will be revisiting some of our old segments such as 'Influenced By', 'Quick Fire Five', 'Introducing' and the fabulous 'Cowboy Hour Poll'.

We've got some new music already to play, with some old classics in the mix too.

Ok, so this is a big one, but honestly, if you are looking at taking your band to the next level then playing in New York is pretty much up there.

The The New Colossus Festival is a superb event right in the heart of East Side Manhattan. We adored being there in March, visiting so many different music venues and seeing bands from all over the World perform to very appreciative and receptive crowds.

So many acts from the UK made there way out there this year.

Maybe it’s your turn.

It’s such an honour to be able to help support BreastFest, and a real joy to see our amazing local community get behind it year after year.

A huge thank you to everyone who makes this event so special — we’re incredibly proud to be a small part of it.

Here’s to another fantastic year of raising money, having fun and supporting such an important cause.

Wow — and a huge thank you to everyone who helped, performed, attended and supported our 3rd BreastFest live music event! 💕

We had the humbling experience of presenting the cheque to the incredible breast cancer nurses, and chatting with the wonderful Stars Appeal fundraising manager about all the amazing ways your donations help patients at our hospital.

Sue Mundy is a true inspiration, and it’s because of her journey that BreastFest began in 2024. It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to give something back following the care Sue received in the unit — a unit that was built by the Stars Appeal 9 years ago.

And next year is a very special one… it’s the 10th anniversary of the breast cancer unit! 🎉

So, we’re already planning a bigger and better BreastFest to celebrate this incredible milestone and, most importantly, raise even more money to support the unit and its patients. 💗

We can’t wait to share more details as plans come together, but for now…

We may be having a little sun break but the show most definitely goes on over at Radio Odstock when it comes to our shows.

We have put together a slightly shorter show this week to promote the upcoming 30 years of Bass Connection show at the Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday 5th September.

Featuring some old acts to come out of Bass Connection, to some newer acts with deep affiliations to Bass Connection, as well as some voice notes from some of the people that Bass Connection helped to mould into the musicians, and more importantly, people they are now.
