If you’re already writing solid captions, take the extra 30 seconds to describe your image in the ALT text box.

Why? It boosts searchability and improves the user experience.

1. Create your post as usual.
2. On the final screen (before you hit “Share”), scroll down and tap Advanced settings.
3. Tap Write alt text.
4. Write a short, clear description of what’s in your image e.g. “Flatlay of desk with laptop, notebook, coffee mug, and dried flowers.”
5. Tap Done and share your post.

Small tweak = bigger reach. 😊

‘Meta Verified’ will give you a blue badge along with several other benefits, including increased visibility, protection against impersonation, priority customer support, and more for a monthly $11.99 a month.
A big concern is that it could lead to some confusion between a Meta Verified account and a popular account. Also, Meta Verified’s prime offering is an increase in reach for paid users. Combined with verification, it could cause a lot of chaos, including amplifying hate speech or misinformation. So it’s going to be important to track how users react to the new subscription product in New Zealand and Australia.

Now you can pay for verification on Facebook and Instagram.
