We bring this convenient service to your parlour where work is carried out inside a specially converted workshop van Please Note:

We do not need to enter your business premises to set up equipment and operate as we carry out all work inside a specially converted mobile workshop van and are therefore Covid19 compliant and none hindering to your business. Occasionally items may need more work or

parts than we are able to sort on site and where this is the case all options will be looked at and fully discussed to make sure minimal disruption is caused. Regular visits are being set for given areas throughout Devon and Cornwall. If you would like to be considered for a monthly support visit please ask and we will be happy to add you to our service routes.

Hi everyone.

It’s been another great week meeting new and existing customers, so firstly, thank you again for supporting me 🤗

I’ve been busy gathering up items for a while now, to enable that little more help where needed for all the Dog Groomers I visit with regular sharpening support.

As a result I now carry a large stock of used, sharpened clipper blades ready to be put to work. Probably near 100 to choose from. 😉

Also, in addition to this I have a good number of scissors to choose from should you need that something else to work with.
**These will be fully sharpened and tested for you on site at time of choosing. ✂️✂️**

I may also have clippers fully serviced ready to go.. so worth asking. 🐾🐾

A BIG shout out to all the Dog Groomers I’ve met over the past week… 🤗 and a BIG thank you for all your support in inviting me to help you. 👍

It’s been a challenging week with plenty of late finishes and even a gifted lunch. 🥪
I really am terrible at remembering to eat when I’m concentrating on your equipment, so a special thanks to Olivia and her daughter at The Cornwall Canine Centre in Newquey for treating me. 🤗

This week I’ve been to Wadebridge, St Columb, Newquey, Helston, Truro, Polruan and Plymouth.

My journey to North Devon was postponed but I hope we will be re scheduling this soon.

Wow.. what a busy week I’ve had helping groomers in and around st Austell and Truro, and a quick drop off of a fixed dryer to one of my very supportive groomers in Helston. 😊

The weathers been fantastic, the groomers I’ve met have been an absolute blast to talk too, and a pleasure to assist. 🐾🐾

Hopefully a few groomers have learned a few tips to help them forwards, one has even had a full lesson and joined me in my van whilst i serviced her grooming equipment. 👀👌

There have been a few challenges set, but I hope I’ve met these head on.

I’m currently booking Dog Groomer support days from Monday 21st July onwards. Hairdressers and knife sharpening support also.

I’ll be visiting Redruth and St Austell again very soon and will be headed into Devon also, so drop me a message if you need assistance, no matter where you are in Cornwall or Devon.

Been an interesting day on dryer fixing today. This was just one of them.

I’m often asked how often dryers should be serviced and, why is my dryer sounding jumpy and making flashes, smelling of burning etc…

Well, if not checked regularly
(how busy is your parlour??)
perhaps every 6-8mths, or at least annually.. then once your dryers brushes get below half worn they lose pressure / push from the now elongated springs, they start skipping against the motor and everytime they do they damage and pit the surface causing it to darken, become rough and create sparks that ark against the metal making everything worse and running risk of fire if there’s built up dog hair anywhere nearby.

You’ll see all of this having happened in the pictures above… clearest most is the pic showing what’s barely left of the brush against a new brush in a sealed pack along side.

In this case there were many sparks, bangs and smells and the motor simply gave up.

The video of the dryer working was the test run on a brand new motor fitted outside in my workshop van before it was then externally cleaned. The inside had already had that attention.
It’s a mucky job so outside is last to get the tlc.

Even brushless motors need inspection and a good clean through etc as hair gets right in there, like it does everywhere else in your parlours 🙈🐾

Not all can be done in the van outside your parlour, but I make every effort to assist keeping your Dog Grooming Business running when it would otherwise have come to a hault.

Loan dryers are possible subject to availability whilst I figure yours out.

Please note:
This dryer fix and servicing service is limited to those customers for whom I regularly carry out sharpening of their scissors and clipper blades due to its time consuming nature.
If I can’t fix it, I have other ways to help.

No matter if you’re a chef, butcher, pasty maker or hard working household slave to those you love 😉 and appreciate your hard efforts… if your knives are dull (blunt) it’s gonna make a hard job harder.. so give them a bit of love, give yourself and them, an edge.

Average cost per knife is £5

Hey there all you hard working groomers, now it’s the weekend and your looking at some well earned rest, why not consider if it’s time you looked at servicing your clippers to give them a refresh also.

I can carry out clipper servicing at your door with no need to loose an essential tool for a few days, and perhaps even lend you a clipper to use whilst I’m servicing yours… no interruption to your busy days work either.

You’d be surprised how much hair gets in there, and how much a sigh of relief will be for them with fresh grease / lubrication on working parts and all that doggy dust and fur build up cleaned off a circuit board etc, meaning less chance of failure at a crucial time.

They’ll work more efficiently allowing you too do the same.

Clipper servicing is around £30-35 plus parts. Less than the charge of an average dog groom. 😉

A few pics of inside a clipper done this week where the gear drive circlip had come off and the clipper was noisy as gears chattering.. hair build up due to foam guarding having split also.

New parts were added where needed and there’s some pics of cleaned parts after inspection and before re assembly.

Hi everyone.

I’m having a revamp on my website and have also decided to focus back on my facebook, as tbh I’m not a a big Facebook fan but am being constantly asked if I have it.. so you will see activity again lol. I’m going to try more focus.

I’ve been busy re tailoring to a much stronger support system for Dog Groomers as main focus, but am still happy to help out with any hairdressers sharpening needs and all you butchers, chefs and hardworking household cooks needs with knife sharpening.

For the Dog Groomers out there, I have always offered a strong understanding of the difficulties you face with your equipment servicing and sharpening as I also run Dog Grooming businesses myself and have done so for 20 years.

Whatever your needs I’m here to support, and for those Dog Groomers of whom I carry out regular sharpening, I am throwing in a few extra ways to support with your dryers where possible.

Watch out for posts of areas being visited, but also feel free to contact me if you need help and haven’t seen your area mentioned. I primarily cover Cornwall and Devon as am based on the border between.
