After it arrived, I sat down and read this entire book in one breathless, heart stopping, tear stained, glorious and biblical level extraordinary sitting!!
From the moment I opened it, I knew I was in for the long haul. I wasn't going to be able to put this book down until I had absorbed every adventure filled word. This book from start to finish was a gripping, heart warming and heart wrenching, rollercoaster of emotions. I couldn't take my eyes away or even catch my breath until I finished reading the final page. I was progressively clutching my face, pulling out my hair and holding my stomach, all the while laughing and crying along with the wonderful characters I met along the way.
Island Eyes put me through the whole range of human emotions in a few glorious, sweaty, maniacal hours.
The story of this incredible man's life had me digging my nails into my couch and realising I was holding my breath.
The writing was stunning, the philosophies were incredibly clever, the story itself was awe inspiring and the humour had me snorting my tea into the book. The visuals that were painted were so clear and bright, it was like every scene was a video playing in my mind.
This was such a complete joy to read and I devoured every single word with a feverish passion. This book absolutely blew my mind.
Do yourselves a favour and dive into this book. I promise you won't regret it!!
