🚨 ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS: PLEASE READ 🚨

I’ve had a few conversations in clinic recently about the price of anti-wrinkle treatment, and one in particular really highlighted why safety must come before price.

I was told about someone offering 3 areas for £130.

The client believed the practitioner was a prescriber, but they weren’t. They weren’t a nurse either, there had been no face-to-face consultation with a prescriber, and the client hadn’t been shown the toxin being used.

The response?

“But it’s brilliant, my forehead doesn’t move!” 😳

This is exactly why I always say: choose your practitioner wisely.

Since 1 June 2025, nurse and midwife independent prescribers must have a face-to-face consultation before prescribing medicines for elective cosmetic procedures such as botulinum toxin. A phone call or FaceTime/video consultation does not replace this.

I also receive WhatsApp messages constantly offering overseas aesthetic products, including toxin. It’s unbelievable how often it happens.

Before having anti-wrinkle treatment, ask:

✔️ Who is prescribing it?
✔️ Have I had a proper face-to-face consultation?
✔️ What product am I having?
✔️ Can I see the packaging?
✔️ Is my practitioner appropriately trained and insured?
✔️ What happens if something goes wrong?

At Gilded Glow Aesthetics, your safety comes first. I will never cut corners to compete on price.

My next Prescriber Clinic is Wednesday 23rd September, with evening appointments available from 8.30pm.

If you’re considering anti-wrinkle treatment, the face-to-face prescriber consultation is an essential part of the process.

It’s not simply about prescribing a treatment. Your prescriber needs to assess you in person, discuss your medical history, medications and suitability, and make sure the treatment is appropriate and safe for you.

I’m a big believer in doing things properly. No online prescribing and no shortcuts. Your safety always comes first. 🤍

Once you’ve been assessed and prescribed, we can discuss your treatment plan and the results you’re hoping to achieve.
