Explored a brilliant little run from Knighton in Staffordshire, following the Shropshire Union Canal past the old Cadbury chocolate crumb wharf — where ingredients for Dairy Milk once began their journey to Bournville. 🍫🚤

Cut across the fields to Peggs Lane and stopped by the Anchor Inn, one of the most iconic canalside pubs around. Then looped back along the towpath for a peaceful finish.

A lovely mix of countryside, history and quiet canal running — definitely one to try if you’re nearby.

💓 Living With Microvascular Angina | My Story, Struggles & Tips

It’s been a tough journey learning to live with Microvascular Angina — a condition that doesn’t always show on scans but affects daily life in so many ways. In this video, I share my story, what’s helped me cope, and some practical tips for others going through the same.

🌾 A slower pace today…

Sometimes it’s not about distance or speed — it’s about what you notice along the way. This week I headed to Sandon in Staffordshire, a place I’ve often driven past but never really explored.

Starting near Sandon Hall, I wandered quiet lanes, crossed open fields, and followed woodland paths where the only sounds were birds and the wind in the trees. It’s a lovely 6.5-mile loop that really shows off the best of the Staffordshire countryside — peaceful, varied, and full of character.

🎥 I filmed the walk for the channel — you can watch it here:

If you enjoy discovering quiet villages and lesser-known routes, I think you’ll love this one. Let me know if you’ve walked here before — or where I should explore next!

Just uploaded a new Run Adventurer episode — this time exploring from Malpas to Overton Scar, one of Cheshire’s hidden sandstone outcrops.

Starting in the heart of Malpas village, the route winds through quiet lanes and open countryside before reaching the red cliffs of Overton Scar — a spot steeped in history, legend, and incredible views.

If you love peaceful countryside walks (or runs!) and discovering hidden corners of Cheshire, this one’s for you 👣

Over on Patreon today members can join me as I set off from Knighton in Staffordshire to run along the Shropshire Union Canal, passing the old Cadbury’s wharf where chocolate crumb was once loaded onto boats and taken down to Bournville. Chocolate crumb — a mix of milk, sugar and cocoa — was the essential ingredient in much of Cadbury’s famous milk chocolate, including Dairy Milk. What if the greatest adventure… was right outside your door? 🌿

In a world that’s always telling us to go further, faster, chase the next big thing — I chose to do the opposite.

For the past year, I ran the same 3-mile loop near my home in Sandbach, Cheshire.
Month after month, through sun, snow, rain and mist — I stayed local, I slowed down… and I paid attention.

And what I found was something quietly extraordinary.

✨ Fields that changed colour with the seasons.
✨ Silent sunrises, frozen canals, and wildflower meadows.
✨ A connection to nature I never expected — all on a path I thought I already knew.

If you’ve ever felt like life is rushing by — this is your invitation to slow down, look closer, and rediscover the magic of what’s right on your doorstep. 💚

If you enjoy the video, I’d love it if you subscribed — it helps the channel grow, and it means a lot when people support this kind of slow, thoughtful storytelling.
