UCan Studios UCan Studios is a music rehearsal, recording, production and education business based in the Zan Mil There is plenty of free parking available on the site.

UCan Studios is a creative space for music, art and video production. Opened in September 2015, it is supported and run by UCan Play. Our aim is to support creative practitioners by providing a physical space within which they can work and collaborate. Unlike other rehearsal spaces, this service includes quality equipment, with expertise and support available from many experienced musicians and ed

ucationalists. UCanStudios are also different from traditional recording studios in that we support artists that want a greater degree of creative control over their work, like taking digital audio or video files away to be mixed or processed in ‘home’ studios. Another unique feature of UCan Studios is our facilitation of live video streaming over the internet so that ideas and performances can be shared in real-time. This practise is becoming increasingly popular with musicians and bands to connect with their audiences and promote their work and UCan Studios are excited to be part of this new culture. We are delighted to announce that our new retail space - UCan Drums & Keys - is know open. Located on the second floor of the Zan Mill (above our main studio), the space offers you the chance to experience products made by our key partners - Roland UK, DW Drums, PDP drums, Mapex drums, Hardcase, Meinl, Paiste, etc.

Please make an appointment should you wish to come over. Alternatively, the space will be open each Saturday from the 20th September onwards, from 10 - 4pm.

Hi Everyone,

Exciting developments at the studios over the past few weeks.

Firstly, we are delighted to have expanded our footprint within the Mill. We have created three permanent rehearsal spaces for three of the bands that had been using our main studios.

Secondly, we have expanded our instrumental teaching team - with a new drum teacher and a new guitar teacher. So, if you or any of your friends are looking to start learning the piano, guitar, drums or sing then we have space available for your lessons to start immediately. Please just get in touch to discuss further.

Finally, we have a brilliant collection of Roland and Boss ex-display equipment available for our local customers. This includes guitar amps, keyboards, Boss pedals and quite a bit of other music production equipment. Do get in touch if you need anything.

The reason for this post is to alert you a new opportunity for music education funding that is available right now. Earlier this month, the Government has made £25m of funding available to music education hubs in England for the purchase of musical instruments, technology and other accessories.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that this post finds you all well.

I appreciate that this is a niche request, but we have a brand new Roland VAD-706GE drum kit here looking for a new home. This came to us from Roland at a very special price and we can pass this onto one lucky customer. These kits retailed at over £7k but we can sel this one for £4750 all. Brand new, unopened. Four big boxes to collect!

Also, we have a few vacancies for lessons for drums, guitar and voice. If you want some lessons to improve, or even start, your musical learning do get in touch.
