Ever noticed how the platforms we advertise on keep moving the furniture without telling us? π
Meta's just done it again. They're phasing out the ability to fully switch off certain ad placements. Soon, instead of turning a placement off, you can only discount your bid on it by up to 90%.
Sounds similar, but it's not. A discounted ad is still an ad. Still showing up somewhere you might not want it to.
For local businesses and destinations here on the Island who trust us to run their online advertising properly, this is exactly the kind of thing we watch for so you don't have to. Platform "improvements" often mean less control for the people actually spending the budget, and it's our job to catch that before it costs anyone money or brand reputation.
If you run your own Meta ads, or aren't sure if anyone's checking yours, it might be worth a second look this month.
Happy to take a quick peek if you're ever unsure what's actually happening behind your campaigns. π
