The community cinema is back next month with the screening of The Penguin Lessons (cert 12a) on Sunday 7th September at 7pm, doors open at 6:40pm . The cinema is a great relaxing, social event with a licensed bar serving beer, wine, fizz, soft drinks, variety of snacks and the all important ice creams 🍦😄.

Our Community cinema has had a great start this year with three films to date. Massive thanks to those people that have supported us so far. June’s community cinema screening will be Bridget Jones – Mad about the boy (cert 15) on Sunday 8th June at 7pm.

Then on Saturday 19th July at 4pm, we will be screening a special children’s matinee of Dog Man (cert U), and thanks to the amazing generosity of Wrestlingworth Goodwill Fund children’s tickets will be free when a child is accompanied by a paying adult, maximum of three children to one adult.

Please note that this offer is ONLY open to children that currently live in Wrestlingworth, Cockayne Hatley, Eyeworth or Tadlow. Tickets are limited and must be purchased online in advance using the link below

Our next community cinema screening will on Sunday 11th May at 7pm. The Great Escaper (not to be confused with The Great Escape) staring Michael Caine & Glenda Jackson.

The Guardian newspaper describes it as a true-life heartwarmer about the 89-year-old second world war Royal Navy veteran Bernard Jordan, who in 2014 jauntily sneaked out of his seaside care home (where he lived with his wife Irene) on a secret mission to get aboard a cross-channel ferry and attend the 70th anniversary celebrations of the D-day landings in Normandy.
