Why We’re Raising Our Flags

We’ve seen it happening across the country: unvetted migrants being placed near schools and parks.
Reports of violent crime, knife attacks, and even assaults on women and children are deeply worrying.

Meanwhile, many of our most vulnerable people are struggling, while those entering illegally appear to receive support before our own communities.

We do understand that some come here seeking a better life. But what is happening now in Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey is only the beginning—and we must protect our towns

“Safe Communities for Everyone.”.

Flying our flags is not about hate; it’s about safety, unity, and sending a clear message:
We will not stand by and allow terrible crimes to take root in our communities.

Strong communities are built on trust, not surveillance.
I will not accept a Digital ID.
Our rights matter more. ✊


We, the people, will not accept this behaviour.

The government’s actions are dividing communities, harming mental health, and failing to support us when we need it most.

We believed in change, but all we got were fake promises. Our confidence in this leader is gone.

Raising flags in Scarborough, Whitby and Filey is our way of showing pride, unity, and letting people know you’re not alone. ❤️

People say how bad things have got, yet hold back from sharing posts out of fear of being labelled.

But speaking up for our communities, our values, and our future is not hate.
It is not “far right.”
It is standing strong for what we believe in.

We must not be silenced.
We must stand together.
We must take back pride in our country.

Dear Prime Minister,

I am writing on behalf of Squeeky Clean Scarborough Ltd to express deep concern about the current actions and messaging from the Government that are causing unnecessary fear, alarm, and distress to vulnerable people across the UK.

As a small business rooted in our local community, we see every day how fragile many people’s sense of security has become. The use of language and policies that generate uncertainty or anxiety has a damaging effect not only on individuals but also on families, communities, and small businesses who work hard to support them.

We believe it is the responsibility of Government to protect and reassure its citizens, not to frighten or unsettle them. The vulnerable — including the elderly, those on low incomes, and people already struggling with health or housing insecurity — deserve compassion, clarity, and stability.

We urge you to take immediate steps to:

Communicate with honesty and transparency, without causing undue alarm.

Provide clear, practical support measures for those most affected.

Reassure communities rather than deepen their fears.

Our business, like many others, is committed to serving our community with care and respect. We ask the same of our leaders.

We hope you will take these concerns seriously and act swiftly to restore trust, reassurance, and dignity for the most vulnerable in our society.
