Our Story

Polyphonic Recording is the workspace home of recording artists, engineers, session musicians & producers Lukas Drinkwater & Emily Barker. Started in Stroud in 2016 as a space for Lukas to record sessions on double bass & guitar, and as a writing / creative space for Emily, we now offer recording, with in-house musicians, a good array of instruments, amps, pedals, mics, shaky and jangly things, drums. We also have a great network of musicians to hand, both locally and internationally to add to your recording, either here in the studio, or remotely. We are a relatively new venture here as a studio, but with many years experience working with producers and artists the world over, we can help you make your songs with a sparkle and a lot of heart. Whether you want to demo songs in a relaxed creative space, co-write with experienced writers, overdub parts for your album you've recorded elsewhere, rehearse with your band, hire a session player to add parts to your song, we can do all of these things.
