Coming up this Friday, our first concert of 2026: We are featuring the amazing young pianist Jacky Zhang.
He was a finalist in the 2024 BBC Young Musician competition and he will be playing
Chopin - Preludes, Op 28
and
Beethoven - Diabelli Variations, Op 120

Jacky Zhang has won several international piano competitions and although still young, his playing is skilful and mature.
You can come to hear him play this Friday 9th January at Outwood Academy Foxhills, starting at 7:30. This promises to be a wonderful start to 2026 and it will brighten up the bitter weather we have been having.

We are looking forward to seeing Palisander on 12 December. 7:30pm at Outwood Academy Foxhills.
They will be playing music by Tartini, JS Bach and Hildegard of Bingen, alongside renaissance consort music and contemporary works with an overarching title of Double, Double, Toil & Trouble.
Possibly some dance included? You would need to come along to find out!

We have a musical delight coming up soon. On 12 December we have the recorder ensemble Palisander giving a concert which will be our final concert of 2025 and a lovely treat for all music and recorder lovers.

Are you ready for a musical treat? This Friday we have a leading group of musicians; Ensemble 360.
Renowned for its virtuoso performances, bold programming and engaging interpretations of music ranging from baroque duos, through classical quartets to new commissions for all eleven players.
This performance will feature a quintet of members of the group. Their name comes from their perfomance home of the Crucible in Sheffield. Where they give an 'in the round' experience. They will be equally at home at our venue which is at the Outwood Academy, Foxhills, Foxhills Road, Scunthorpe DN15 8LJ.

Coming soon, Ensemble 360 presenting a concert of music including a piano quintet. They are an exciting group to watch and they are sure to be well worth seeing.
It isn't often the society has a quintet and this music was chosen as a special request by the concert sponsor and will provide a delightful set of pieces.
