We had such a brilliant day working with these amazing business owners …
👉🏿 We focussed primarily on supporting each of them with the content marketing and content creation for their brands and business.

👉🏼 We had the chance to use some of the resources, marketing ideas and formulas from our SoCo Spark+ hub to guide them in actioning their content strategies

👉🏻 And, we also enjoyed some snacks and cake to celebrate SoCo’s second year, too 🧁

1️⃣ Visibility isn’t about being the loudest - it’s about being clear.

A big September highlight was speaking at the Visibility Brunch, where we talked about how visibility in business (and as women) isn’t about shouting - it’s about clarity, confidence, and staying true to who you are.

2️⃣ Campaigns don’t need to be complicated.

In our free SoCo Spark newsletter, we broke down why one clear campaign focus beats juggling ten different messages. Consistently sharing the simplest, most important message you need to share from your business right now is how people will remember your business when the busy season hits.

3️⃣ Connection > perfection.

At our Build-a-Brand workshop with Lemon Drizzle, we saw first-hand how powerful it is to strip things back, get clear on brand foundations, and share the human side of business. That’s the kind of marketing that actually sticks.

This summer has been a reminder that pace isn’t the same as progress… 👉🏽

Some weeks have been packed with strategy sessions, client content creation, and planning collaborations with fellow business owners.

Others slowed right down for sunshine, family time, and a much-needed switch-off.

And both have shown why “smart marketing” matters so much.

Because when your marketing foundations are in place, you can keep momentum going without burning out.

“Smart marketing” doesn’t look the same for every business. 💡
It depends on the season, your goals, and the chapter your business is in right now.

We’ve got a new little home base - and it’s the start of something exciting. 💛

Like many of SoCo’s best chapters so far, this one started as a bit of a daydream.

A few months ago, I jotted a new, starry-eyed idea into my “maybe someday” notepad:

✨ A space where SoCo could grow - and help others do the same.

Not just a desk or a backdrop for editing sessions…
But a real-life space for connection, creativity, and practical support.

Then, just two weeks later, a fellow business owner mentioned a collaborative workspace that sounded a lot like the one I’d imagined.

It ticked nearly every box.

I met the entrepreneur behind it, Michael.
Saw the space.
Took a few days - and a few too many “should I/shouldn’t I?” conversations… (all while knowing deep down I couldn’t let this pass SoCo by).

So in mid-June, I moved in.

It’s a part-time creative + collaborative base I’m excited to try out - a chance to test ideas, meet more brilliant businesses, and build on our new offers.

And we’re already planning some exciting opportunities for the space, like:
✨Strategy sessions
💭Workshop-style events
💬Local drop-ins
🫱🏽‍🫲🏻Collaboration + connections with small business owners doing brilliant things

The very first one is coming in mid-August 👀
(More details soon on our first open workshop + drop-in session.)

This isn’t just another workspace.

It’s a little hub for storytelling-led strategy, hands-on support, and thoughtful marketing made for real people.

📍 Brighton-based, but open to every small, local, and independent business owner along the South Coast.
