We’ve Just Unlocked A Brand-New Character In Positano! 😂🇮🇹🔓

There were two choices today…

Head straight down to the beach, sit in the blazing Positano sunshine wearing completely the wrong clothes and slowly cook ourselves… 🥵😂

Or head back to the gorgeous Eden Roc Hotel pool and cool down properly.

Obviously, we chose the pool.

And that decision has resulted in something even more important…

🚨 NEW CHARACTER UNLOCKED: ADAM! 🚨😂

So Adam and I are checking in from the pool overlooking beautiful Positano, and I think it’s fair to say we’re becoming extremely sold on this place.

The views are ridiculous, the weather is glorious and the whole Amalfi Coast lifestyle is becoming dangerously easy to get used to. 🇮🇹☀️

We’ve only been here a short time and somehow the DaysLikeThis cast has already expanded.

Breakfast With THIS View… Positano Really Is Something Else! 😍🇮🇹☕️

Vikki and I knew you’d want a little breakfast check-in from Positano this morning… and I think we may have found one of the best breakfast views we’ve ever had! ❤️

We’re staying at the beautiful Eden Roc Hotel, overlooking the colourful buildings of Positano and the Mediterranean beyond, and this is definitely the sort of morning where you don’t want to rush anywhere. ☕️🥐

Good coffee, breakfast with Vikki and that incredible Italian coastline stretched out in front of us.

Sometimes the best part of travelling isn’t racing around ticking things off a list — it’s simply sitting down for a while and appreciating exactly where you are.

And this morning we’re feeling incredibly fortunate to be right here. ❤️🇮🇹

The sightseeing can wait just a little longer…

I think breakfast deserves another coffee. ☕️😂

A Year Ago Today We Were In Spain… But For A Very Different Reason! 🇪🇸❤️

A year ago today we were waking up in beautiful Burgos, northern Spain, and starting the day with breakfast before continuing our epic journey back to the UK. 🚙🇪🇸➡️🇬🇧

Burgos was supposed to be little more than an overnight stop, but it turned out to be one of those unexpected discoveries we absolutely loved — a gorgeous historic city that definitely deserves another visit.

Fast forward exactly one year and things look rather different…

Instead of travelling home from Spain with the whole family, Vikki and I are waking up in Positano on the Amalfi Coast! 🇮🇹😍

It’s funny looking back at these memories and seeing just how much can happen in twelve months.

Different country. Different adventure.

Same determination to find somewhere good for breakfast! 😂☕️

It’s Hard To Believe Places Like This Are Actually Real… 😍🇮🇹🏖️

Vikki and I have had the most lovely day here in Positano, and we couldn’t finish it without checking in with you from the beach. ❤️

This really is one of those places where you keep looking around and thinking…

Wow. We’re actually here.

The colourful buildings climbing impossibly up the mountainside, the Mediterranean in front of us, little boats coming and going and those incredible views in every direction — Positano is every bit as beautiful as we imagined. 🇮🇹🌊

We’ve travelled to some wonderful places over the years, but there’s something rather special about this one.

And while we’re missing George and William back home, having a few days here together and getting to experience somewhere like this is a genuine privilege. ❤️

No rushing around for a moment. No grand plan.

We’ve Just Checked Into Our Hotel In Positano… LOOK AT THIS VIEW! 😍🇮🇹

Vikki and I have arrived in Positano, checked into the beautiful Eden Roc, and I’m not entirely sure the pictures prepared us for this. ❤️

The location is absolutely incredible.

We’re overlooking Positano with those extraordinary colourful buildings tumbling down the mountainside towards the Mediterranean, and it’s one of those views where you genuinely just have to stop for a moment and take it all in. 🇮🇹🌊

After Naples and the ferry journey around the coast, suddenly finding ourselves staying here for the next few days feels rather surreal.

We know how fortunate we are to be able to experience places like this, and this is definitely one we won’t be taking for granted. ❤️

Sometimes travelling is about running around trying to see everything.

I have a feeling Positano might also be about sitting down occasionally and simply appreciating where on earth we are. 😊

We’ve Left Naples Behind… And We’re Heading Somewhere VERY Special! 😍⛴️🇮🇹

Vikki and I have jumped aboard the ferry in Napoli, and our Italian adventure is moving on! 🇮🇹❤️

We’re cruising around the spectacular coastline towards Positano, where we’ll be staying for the next few days. 😍

After exploring the chaos, history, incredible architecture and food of Naples, this feels like a completely different side of Italy — out on the water, watching the coastline pass by and heading towards one of those places we’ve seen in pictures countless times but never actually experienced for ourselves.

And this little trip is just Vikki and me, while George and William are being thoroughly spoiled back home by their grandparents. 😂❤️

I have a feeling the next few days are going to be rather special…

Next stop: POSITANO! 🇮🇹⛴️🍋

You Can’t Come To Naples And NOT Do This… Right?! 🍦🇮🇹😍

Vikki and I have stopped at C***o Gelato in Naples for something that surely has to be compulsory when you’re in Italy…

Proper Italian gelato! 🇮🇹🍦

We’ve spent our time in Naples walking miles, exploring incredible churches, discovering the old town and generally trying to squeeze as much as possible into our Italian adventure.

So obviously we’ve earned this. 😂

The difficult part isn’t finding gelato in Naples…

It’s standing in front of all those flavours and somehow being expected to choose just one! 😳🍦

There are some cultural experiences you visit a museum for.

This one you eat. 😂🇮🇹❤️

How Is This Only TWO Years Ago?! George Looks Like A Different Person! 😳❤️

This little flashback video popped up from exactly two years ago, and I genuinely had to look twice…

George was only 12! 😳

It’s amazing how you don’t really notice your children changing when you see them every single day, then an old video suddenly appears and you realise just how much they’ve grown.

Same George. Same enormous brain. 😂🧠

But somehow he looks like a completely different person!

One of my favourite things about sharing so much of our family life over the years is having thousands of these ordinary little moments captured forever. At the time they’re just another day…

Then two years later, they become something rather special. ❤️

And if two years has made this much difference, I’m slightly terrified to see what the next two bring! 😳😂

TASTE IT TUESDAY IS BACK… BUT WE’VE TAKEN IT TO THE SPANISH MOUNTAINS! 🇪🇸😳

Taste It Tuesday with William and Vikki has finally returned — although this week there isn’t a kitchen in sight! 😂

We’re exploring the beautiful Sierra Espuña mountains in Spain when William and Vikki stumble across something rather tempting…

Fig trees absolutely FULL of super-ripe figs. 😍

And when you find fresh figs looking that good, apparently the only sensible thing to do is stop everything and taste them! 😂

So this week, Taste It Tuesday has gone wild — quite literally. Fresh from the tree, under the Spanish sunshine, and William is ready to give us his verdict. ❤️
