SELBY PULSE RADIO – STATION-WIDE UPDATE FOR THURSDAY MORNING

Good evening everyone,

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast for tomorrow morning, there will be a temporary change to our usual schedule.

The normal Pulse Breakfast Show will be on air from 10:00am until 11:00am only.

Frances will be on air tomorrow as normal, However if anything else changes we will let you know!

We would also like to remind listeners about the Selby Pulse Radio GoFundMe campaign. As a community radio station, we are committed to providing local news, information, entertainment, and a platform for our community. However, operating and maintaining a local radio station comes with ongoing costs, including studio equipment, broadcasting services, and day-to-day running expenses.

🌡️ Studio Temperature Update 🌡️

At 7:19pm this evening, the studio was still sitting at a rather toasty 30.1°C! 🥵

Considering the sun had already started heading down for the day, that's pretty impressive... or concerning... I'm not entirely sure which.

The equipment is carrying on as normal, but anyone spending time in the studio may need a cold drink, a fan, and possibly a second fan for the first fan.

Hopefully it cools down a bit overnight ready for tomorrow. If not, you may find the presenters gradually melting into their chairs. 😅🎙️

Tuesday Morning Pulse - 8am to 10am

After today's technical adventure, it's a miracle we're still here! 😅

Jon had mic issues, then music issues. Wilson had mic issues. Vix had music issues... although we're fairly sure hers was just caused by pressing buttons. 😂

Tomorrow I'll be live from 8am to 10am, and I'll also be testing some new software that'll technically be my online show producer. What could possibly go wrong? 😆

The only other issue might be the heat. The studio hit 29°C today, so if it turns into a sauna again tomorrow, I may have to make an early escape before I melt into the mixing desk. 🌡️🤣

Tune in tommorrow and let's see which gives up first: me, the software, or the studio... maybe all three! 📻😂🔥

✅ Update: We're back!

The issue has now been fixed and Jon is back on air as normal. 🎙️

A big thank you to everyone for your patience while we got things sorted. We managed to keep the music, adverts and jingles going, and now you can hear Jon again too!
