The lovely ladies from Seashells Children & Families Centre came in to talk about their new project 'Warm Homes' which is supported by the NEA (National Energy Action~ a fuel poverty & energy efficiency charity) and partnered with local professional organisations (Sheppey Matters, the Gateway, the Sheerness Salvation Army, Sheerness Health Centre & Paydens Pharmacy) to support Island residents who live in a cold, damp home causing health conditions. This support can include a free boiler service, free energy-saving lightbulbs, free carbon-monoxide alarms, free draught excluders....even a free hot water bottle. You may also be eligible for the household support fund, a fuel voucher, a food parcel and many other things offered by Seashells. There are no restrictions: you can be any age, any income, a home owner or renter. Please speak to our professional organisations, as above, or your GP, health visitor, community warden, or Age UK Infinity to be referred to our 'Warm Homes' services, or contact Seashells direct on 01795 667070 or just pop into the centre at Rose St. for free confidential advice tailored to your personal needs. www.children-families.org/warm-homes-healthy-futures
