This morning, Conrad from 7 In A Bus dropped in to see Howie and he shared an incredibly moving story.

On 8th December 2025, a charity single will be released in memory of 10-year-old Joshua Barton from Barnsley, who sadly passed away following an asthma attack.

The song is especially powerful because most of the lyrics were written by Joshua himself. His dad found them after Joshua’s passing, and the family, together with Ryan from All The Young have turned his words into a charity single to honour his memory and raise awareness.

In the video, Conrad talks about Joshua’s story, how the project came together, and why this release means so much to everyone involved.

Sheffield Essentials News: Popular city centre shopping hub announces special Christmas treats

Sheffield’s Orchard Square is bringing the festive spirit to the city centre throughout December 2025 with a full programme of family-friendly Christmas events and activities.

The celebrations launched on Thursday 20 November with a community Christmas sing along hosted by Classical Sheffield and the switch-on of Orchard Square’s Christmas lights. Children can visit the North Pole Post Office to write and post letters to Santa, and the popular Christmas Makers’ Market will take place across Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November, featuring handmade gifts, crafts and festive treats from local makers.

Orchard Square is also supporting Mission Christmas again this year, collecting new and unwrapped gifts for children in need from 24 November to 21 December. Visitors will find dedicated drop-off points across the Square.

The Cheap Dates Terrace Sleigh Bar has returned for the season, serving festive drinks and seasonal cocktails with a cosy winter terrace atmosphere. Shops, eateries and the Sheffield Plate food hall continue to offer extended Christmas vibes throughout the month.

Sheffield Essentials News: Man, 30, dies after horror crash

A 30-year-old man has died after a serious collision in Rotherham on Wednesday 19 November 2025. The crash involved a white Toyota Prius Alpha and a grey Audi A4, with emergency services called shortly after the incident.

The man was taken to hospital, where he sadly died from his injuries.

South Yorkshire Police closed the road for several hours to allow specialist collision investigators to work at the scene, and it reopened at around 11am.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, dashcam footage, or anyone who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.

Sheffield Essentials News: Teenager bailed as police continue to investigate reported Sheffield College incident

Police continue to investigate a reported incident at Sheffield College, after a teenager was arrested following a disturbance last week. Sheffield College has since confirmed that no knife was found on site, but police say enquiries are ongoing.

Officers from Sheffield South East NPT have been carrying out active patrols around the campus to reassure students and staff. They are also working with local partners to educate young people on safety, while urging anyone with relevant footage from the incident to submit it to police.

Ey up Sheffield! ☁️ Here's the next 12 hours for ya:

It's a chilly start, gettin' down to -0.9°C, but we'll creep up to a high of 3.8°C by the afternoon. Expect plenty of cloud cover across the Steel City, from Hillsborough to Meersbrook, with no rain on the cards. Might be a bit breezy later on.

Wrap up warm if you're heading out, a good jacket's a must. Perfect weather for a cuppa or a quiet pint. We'll keep you updated!
