Green Moon? 💚🌙

Following a recent lick of paint, the former home of Sheffield’s Blue Moon Café could soon be serving Mediterranean dishes, with plans emerging for a new restaurant at the St James Street site.

While details have yet to be confirmed, the site of the much-missed veggie and vegan restaurant could be ready to open as early as the end of July.

Blue Moon closed in early 2023 after more than two decades in the building, having become a favourite among Sheffield’s vegetarian and vegan community thanks to its entirely meat-free menu.

The Victorian property, thought to date back to the 1850s, sits just yards from Sheffield Cathedral and close to Cutlers’ Hall in one of the city’s most historic quarters.

“I’ve always felt a bit outside of it all. I was never part of a scene really. I just kept doing what I loved doing.”

Meet UK Steve Edwards – one of Sheffield’s most successful musicians, and there’s a good chance you’ve never heard of him.

From global number ones and Grammy nominations to writing with Bob Sinclar, Cassius and Axwell, Steve’s had some career. Yet somehow, he’s still better known in Russia than Sheffield.

We thought it was about time he got his flowers 💐

So with a new EP on the way, Steve is our August cover star, and we sat down with him for a special interview.
