We’ve published plans to improve the section of the Trans Pennine Trail between Pen*stone and Wortley. The aim is to create a more consistent, accessible route that everyone can enjoy 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Come along to one of our drop-in events to find out more, chat with the project team, and share your feedback:

📍 Thursday 18 June at Cubley Room, St John’s Community Centre, Pen*stone, 2pm – 6pm

A Sheffield Scout Group are celebrating 100 years of Scouting

The 105th Sheffield (High Green) have reached a century of scouting and on Saturday 4 July will host their Special Centenary Celebration Event at their High Green Headquarters on Pack Horse Lane (11am to 3pm)

Congratulations James! So deserved.

Congratulations to James Kelland, 14, who has been named Barnsley Young Carer of the Year 👏

The Pen*stone Grammar School student from Deepcar cares for his mother, Emily, who suffers from serious Epilepsy and saved his mother's life during the school holidays when she suffered a seizure whilst eating dinner. James sprang to action, cleared her airway, and administered emergency seizure medication

He also cares for his younger brother Luke, who has severe complex learning difficulties and autism

A true inspiration, well done James 👏
