Modern Woman, the London art-rock outfit fronted by primary songwriter Sophie Harris, are set to release their anticipated debut album ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ on May 1st 2026 via their new label One Little Independent Records. ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ represents the culmination of Modern Woman’s journey from Harris’s early, intimate songwriting project into a full-bodied band capable of folding post-punk, avant-garde, and folk traditions into a live force of dynamic originality. At its heart, the record explores the strange poetry buried within the ordinary. Harris’s lyrics, steeped in literary detail and filmic atmosphere, draw from a fascination with the dark underbelly of the everyday and the contradictions of womanhood.

After last year’s triumphant sold out return in their home town of Wolverhampton, Sandkings are back to reclaim their crown, hitting Yellow Arch on 18th September

Following the release of three Anthologies on the renowned Revolver Records label, original members Glenn Dodd, David Brown and Terry Kirkbride are back and fronted by long-time friend and Sheffield’s own Vince Cocker for what is very much a case of unfinished business.

Contemporaries of other West Midlands bands such as The Wonder Stuff and Pop Will Eat Itself, Sandkings had success in the late 1980s and early 1990s after signing to London Records. With a number of brilliantly received singles and a debut album, they went on to tour with The Stone Roses and support other major bands of the day such as the Stuffies, Levellers and Jesus Jones as well as selling out their own headline shows.

With new material in the pipeline, Sandkings will be coming to Yellow Arch as they warm up for a performance at Shiiine On Festival in November. Support from indie titans The 48ks. Grab your tickets now!

New show // Am Elektrogeist + Pancho Grande
Wednesday 11th November
On sale now

———

Heavyweights of the Sheffield drinks scene are coming together for the ultimate night of rock’n’roll!

Co-headliners Am Elektrogeist and Pancho Grande are fronted by two mainstays of the city’s drinks scene: Dann Paquette (aka Dad Travers), owner/brewer of Saint Mars of the Desert, and Mike Pomranz, owner of The Old Shoe & Not Open; Don’t Come, respectively! Then, in commitment to a theme, the show is being opened by very special guests, The Children of Bamford — a cover band composed of staff members from The Harlequin and The Crow!

AM ELEKTROGEIST — making their live debut! The Sheffield-based foursome offers a beer-drenched spin on synthy garage rock with nothing more than a bunch of analog synths, a bass, a guitar, a 1970’s Soviet drum machine and a dream. They burst onto the scene with their debut EP this March!

PANCHO GRANDE — with their first show in over a year! Sheffield’s favourite slop rock power trio brings raw energy and antics to every gig with an unpolished, high-energy mix of classic punk, garage rock, and Brooklyn-inspired mayhem. The self-admitted dads aspire to push the boundaries of dad rock that actually rocks — and have been working on their debut LP between school holidays for way too long.

& very special guests THE CHILDREN OF BAMFORD — coming out of the pubs and into the big time! Taking their name from the Chris Bamford-owned bars where they work, this collective originally formed to perform covers at The Harlequin. Mike and Dann decided to drag them into a proper music venue to see if people will pay 8 quid for something they can get for free right down the road!

ONE NIGHT ONLY! Come drink with the same people you usually drink with at SMOD, The Old Shoe, and The Harlequin, but this time also watch them all play music on the best stage in the city!

New show // The Cloverhearts
Saturday 29th May
On sale now

———

The Cloverhearts are one of the newest and fastest-growing bands in today’s Celtic punk scene. Fronted by Australian singer-songwriter Sam Cooper, the band has racked up millions of streams online in just a few short years, while performing alongside genre giants such as The Mahones, Flogging Molly, Ferocious Dog, Zebrahead, and Booze & Glory, to name a few.

Raised on a strict diet of skate punk and Jägerbombs, Sam fuses upbeat, angst-driven rock with whimsical tales of love and loss – resulting in roaring bagpipe anthems and twisted tin-whistle earworms reminiscent of early Dropkick Murphys meets Green Day. Cemented alongside scene stalwarts like The Real McKenzies and The Rumjacks on Spotify’s Official Celtic Punk Playlist, the explosive growth of their music speaks for itself – resonating just as well with kickflippin’ street punks as with boozy Pogues fans.

In their short five-year career, The Cloverhearts have taken the stage at some of the biggest festivals in Europe, the UK, and Japan – including Punk Rock Holiday (SI), Brakrock (BE), Mighty Sounds (CZ), Rock im Ring (IT), Rebellion (UK), Brintaal (IT), and Festival du Roi Arthur (FR), among many others. As the band roars into 2027 with a new lineup and a new album, The Cloverhearts truly have the world at their fingertips – and they plan on taking it for keeps.
