New Show
We Hate The Sharkman
Friday 19th September
£9 advance

Join the funky and furious We Hate The Sharkman for a night at the zoo.

We begin in the largest aquazone this side of Greenland as we awe at the whale sanctuary. Particularly, that of the Beluga, a funk-fusion beast with a psychedelic glint in its eyes. However, there’s nothing arctic about this particular cetacean, guaranteed to make you groove. It doesn’t eat bass, it shreds bass.

Next, we take a trip to the primate kingdom, where there are always shenanigans. This time, The Lemur Conspiracy are running havoc, instilling their signature afrobeat and jazz-fusion sound across gibbons galore. Expect swinging lemurs, swinging horns, and dancing humans.

You spy a secluded area and decide to explore. As you pass through the staff-only door, you realise you have discovered a laboratory and read RESTRICTED CREATURES. Chaos ensues. A half-shark, half-man, is screeching whilst he gorges. A boiling flask shatters above your head, launched by his fins, and releases a potent green gas. His eyes pierce your soul, as you realise that you have never hated anything more than this man-shark. He advances. Suddenly, out of the gas, emerge 7 heroes of our time. Their name, We Hate The Sharkman. You decide to join them, for a night of full-scale boogie at Yellow Arch Studios, Sheffield, before they embark on their quest across the UK to defeat the Sharkman once and for all.

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast
Thursday 4th December
On sale now

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast return to the UK for the third time, bringing their unmistakable roots rock & roll sound from the mountains of North Carolina back across the Atlantic to celebrate the release of their most personal album yet, Heirloom. The band has earned a devoted international following for their electrifying live shows, razor-sharp songwriting, and the magnetic force of Caitlin Krisko’s powerhouse voice—praised by Rolling Stone as “arguably one of the best kept vocal secrets of the Southeast”.

Their new single “Heart of Gold” is already earning national airplay on Planet Rock, and it’s not hard to hear why. With lyrics that dig deep and a performance that hits even deeper, it’s a powerful glimpse into the emotional terrain of Heirloom. As Blues Matters put it: “With Heirloom on the horizon, ‘Heart Of Gold’ marks the beginning of what promises to be a defining era for Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast.”

Our Story

Yellow Arch Studios is a recording studio situated in the heart of Kelham Island and Neepsend, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England . “Internally, the building includes a state-of-the art recording studio and rehearsal rooms”, the building also has a 200 capacity venue, a large warehouse, courtyard and Moroccan style Café Bar.

Yellow Arch Studios featured as an official venue for the Tramlines Festival until the festival was moved out of the city centre to Hillsborough Park in 2018. It is also the official exam centre for Practical and Jazz Theory examinations for ABRSM in South Yorkshire.

Kelham Island and Neepsend were two of the most important industrial areas in Sheffield in the turn of the 20th century, contributing to the world-renowned reputation of the Sheffield steel industry. 30-36 Burton Road started life as an Edwardian Nuts & Bolts factory for the bridge and shipping industry when the steel industry was at its peak. The building was rediscovered in 1996 in disarray and ruin and the Yellow Arch team designed and refurbished the building, “the same team still head up the board today and are active daily in the running, working and facilitating of the business.”
