I think this needs to be said, in a world where creativity is supposed to be boundless, all i see is the same things every day.

And its because social platforms don’t care about your creativity, they care about ad revenue.

They push you into the same recycled formats: trending sounds, editing templates, short clips, quick hooks and endless swipes. Why? because peoples jobs depend on it.

Your creations are not art to them, you are packaging for their shareholders, you’re a cog in the machine running on a formula to generate time spent on the platform which = ad revenue

Rebel, do what you want, starve the algorithm until it changes back and feel sorry for people who spend their lives chasing virality.

Ironically, these influencer 'creators' who follow every last step they are told by platforms are the least creative of us all.

After a full day of podcast filming last week with a client using IPHONES only i had to ask the question, Do phones work just as well as DSLRs or vlogging cameras for podcast capture and recording?

The answer, yes.

But just in the same way that IPHONES can shoot commercials does not mean videographers are throwing away their black magics, different jobs call for different approaches. This was 7 hours of recording, the files alone would have been almost 30g combined on our Sonys.

The outcome will always depend on the production that went in to creating it from pre production, producers on set and post.
One thing that is non-negotiable though, sound, you need good mics!

A quick creative brief example. We believe design should be fluid and visual only, meaning as long as it is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes in tones, angles and spacing theb nothing else matters.

"i can't read that smaller writing" you say, you aren't supposed to.
It’s an asset, that's all, it's there to facilitate the bigger lettering and provide 1. Contrasting size and 2. Fill space. Everything is an asset.

Nothing has to make sense, spell things how you want, cut words up, mix letters up, it doesn't matter IF it looks good! That's the key.
