Hailing from Sheffield UK, Mark Pashley is a DJ, Producer, and the driving force behind Inspirational Recordings. With a journey that began in the early 90’s, Mark made his mark on the local scene through his show on Fresh FM, before going on to play at iconic parties such as Them On The Hill, Tramstop night at Beluga in Sheffield and

various student parties in Nottingham, and an outdoor event in Hastings. He also promoted and co-promoted nights including Funkamatic at Cuba (1993) and at Trippets Wine Bar (2001) in Sheffield. In 2012, Mark expanded into production and remixing, debuting with a release on Defamation Records. His sound – a blend of House and Nu-Disco grooves – landed him a signing with Royal Music Recordings between 2015 and 2016. In 2017, he launched his own record label, Inspirational Recordings, with the aim to releasing high – quality music and supporting both established and emerging talent. Under his own name and his Nu-Disco alias Ricky Backwater, he continues to push forward with a passion for soulful, dancefloor – driven sounds.
