Statement from the Chair of the Pakistan Muslim Centre (PMC) Irfan Khan

The Pakistan Muslim Centre expresses its deep concern over the recent tragic strike in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, which has led to the devastating loss of lives and caused immense pain for families. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all the bereaved and pray for a swift and full recovery for those who have been injured.

The PMC stands in solidarity with the people of Azad Kashmir and recognises the genuine grievances of the community. We urge the relevant authorities to respond with urgency, compassion, and justice, ensuring that families affected by this unrest receive immediate relief and long-term support.

At this critical time, we call for restraint, accountability, and meaningful dialogue. The rights, dignity, and voices of the people of Azad Kashmir must be safeguarded.

The Pakistan Muslim Centre also stands ready to support members of our own community here in Sheffield and across South Yorkshire who have been impacted by these events. We remain committed to offering solidarity, guidance, and assistance to all families in need.
